History, Traditions, and Remembrances

  • Boyd Fallwell's Veterans of American Honor Guard celebrates the military men who paid the price for freedom. Veterans Memorial Site, Death Announcements, Living Memorials, and so much more! (This site will leave you breathless! You just have to visit this site to believe the dedication, devotion, and love that went into each and every page. A tribute like this I have not seen yet during my research for this site!)
  • Another Kind of Vet Joanna voices what many of us feel in our hearts but do not have the nerve to express. (This page is a must visit adventure.)
  • Remember This page will give you an overview of the Canadian participation in World War I, World War II and the Korean War. A must visit site!
  • Veteran's Memorial Museum of Southern West Virginia A community pulls together to open a museum to honor their war heros. (Lots of wonderful memorabilia here!)
  • The Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Page — The Vietnam Wall Here you can do an intensive search of the Vietnam Wall by a number of search criteria — complete information about a specific person, state, year, last name, address on the wall, etc. You can obtain a free Electric Rubbing of the person's name from the wall. See an online slide show of the wall and visitors. Leave messages and much much more. (This site is certainly a wonderful tribute and a great asset for those searching out friends, relatives, and loved ones. Please visit! You may also want to contribute to the upkeep of this site as it is run solely by an individual person!)
  • Marvelicious Memorial Day Marvelicious Backgrounds pay special tribute to our nation's boys in blue! — While you are visiting pay special attention to Sonya's gorgeous display of free border/full backgrounds. (You will be glad you did!)
  • Uncle Debi's Holidays If you have never visited Uncle Debi's you are in for a treat! Debi has a huge collection of holiday information and fun. Visit her Memorial Day collection and then proceed to view the other holiday goodies she has in store for you.
  • The Highground Veterans Memorial — Wisconsin, USA The Highground's mission is to honor veterans and their families and to educate about the cost of things: the human cost. The Highground is a 140 acre Veterans Memorial Park located three miles west of Neillsville on Highway 10 in west central Wisconsin, USA. , The park is open to the public at no charge 24 hours a day, every day of the year. (Certainly, if you live in that part of the world you would want to visit this wonderful tribute!)
  • The Nurse — The Highground Memorial Park Dedicated to the Women who Served in Vietnam — The Women's Tribute — The Highground is one of the first memorials in the United States to pay specific tribute to women veterans. The first occasion was in 1988 when The Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the point of the plaza included a woman in the statuary. The second came in 1992 when The Women's Memorial was dedicated.
  • The Wall This was one of the most heartbreaking stories that I have read so far. If you let yourself really feel what it means, it is something you will never forget — and maybe you will understand! (Everyone should visit this site!)

Veterans Information and Resource Sites

  • The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Links Page There is a vast assortment of Vietnam and other related links on this page. New links are added regularly by visitors. You can visit and add your link here as well.
  • The Wall on the Web Names of persons on the Wall are broken down into 26 files, based on last initial. Click on the initial you'd like to view. (There are 58,169 names in these lists. Updates occur as time permits the many people involved.)
  • The Moving Wall The Moving Wall is a half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial. When John Devitt attended the 1982 dedication in Washington, he felt the healing power of The Wall. He vowed to take that healing to persons who did not have the opportunity to go to Washington. (Read when the Wall will be in a city near you! Perhaps you would like to visit! — I know that I would like to see it!)
  • Scheduling the Moving Wall If you would like to schedule the Moving Wall this is the place to go to get the ball rolling! (Just visiting these pages to gather the information for you has been a very moving American experience! I am very proud to be an American these day — even more than usual!)
  • The Vietnam Casualty Search Page This is the main search page. Go here and enter required data. Follow the links on this page for more information.
  • The P.O.W. Network This site is very comprehensive. It is a must visit when seeking any related information. In fact, there is so much here that you should visit just to become familiar with the resources — should you need to find related information in the future.
  • The Vietnam-Era Prisoner-of-War / Missing-in-Action Database This database has been established to assist researchers interested in investigating the U.S. Government documents pertaining to U.S. Military personnel listed as unaccounted for as of December 1991. The title of this collection is “Correlated and Uncorrelated Information Relating to Missing Americans in Southeast Asia.” (More good info at this site!)
  • Vietnam Veterans’ Home Page Another comprehensive page that offers invaluable information and links to even more informational sites. (It still amazes me how much free information there is on the web, that is just free for the taking! — so take it!)
  • Veterans’ Organizations and Support Groups This page contains information and links to Vietnam Veteran's organizations and support groups throughout the world. Information is provided “as is,” and no endorsement of groups is intended. You can contact the individual groups at their provided addresses to obtain further information. (An excellent find!)
  • Veteran Web Ring Connection Huge listing of veteran related Web Rings, listed by category. (You name it, it's here!)
  • Gunner Jim's Airborne Website Friendly, informative and easy to navigate. Gunner Jim has created an extraordinary site and seems to be an extraordinary person as well. (You should really make time to visit this site!)
  • POW/MIA Forum To think that this can be true! That people could still be held prisoner and be tortured! Visit here to learn more and see what you can do to help!
