May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the rain fall softly upon your fields.
And the sun shine warm upon your face.
And when you die, may you be
in heaven half an hour before
the devil knows you're dead.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back,
the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rain fall soft upon your fields,
and until we meet again may God
hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Welcome! My name is Roz Fruchtman. St. Patrick's Day has always been one of my all time favorite holidays. As we enter our third year on the web, the excitement is as great as when we made our debut. During our first year, we had such a tremendous and overwhelming response, that I not only feel that it is my pleasure, but my duty, to continue our tradition here in CyberSpace. We have given the site a slightly more cheerful look, and made it easier to navigate the many fabulous links we have found for you. There is always so much to see and even more information to learn and share. No matter how much we think that we know, it's never quite enough. So enough shop talk! Let's party!
Being of the Jewish faith, I have never really looked into the religious aspects of St. Patrick's Day. While doing research for this page I have discovered that there are many religious facets of this holiday. While I am not going to go into them specifically, I have made it a point to include a number of religious links that I hope will fill in the gaps for those that are interested and pique the curiosity of those that are not. It is a joy to see the many different ways this holiday is being celebrated.
This holiday is going to be fun doing! St. Patrick's Day is a holiday that I have mixed emotions about. Most of the memories are fond ones. I can even remember a time when I did not even work on St. Patrick's Day (of course, I saved it as a vacation day). I'm serious! It was a time when a group of friends got together to party and have some good fun. It was hard to meet often during the year, so on this day we had a standing date and it was a fun time to visit and catch up. That always made St. Patrick's day seem even more special in my neighborhood. Of course those were in my younger days when partying came more easily!(ROTFL) No way could I, or would I, want to party like that anymore!(GBG) I am sitting here smiling with fond memories as I create this page for you. It's fun to remember though, and share those memories with others. I wish I knew where half of those folks were today and how they were celebrating. I am sorry to say that a lot of them are not with us any longer. I would like to dedicate this page to those people. How sad that makes me feel!
In loving memory of
those that are no longer here to celebrate with us . . .
St. Patrick's Day on the World Wide Web is quite different in a lot of ways. It's fun to be able to go around and visit other sites and see just how they are celebrating this year. What goodies they are offering to those that visit. Just think. . . no hangover the next morning or maybe that was a bit premature! I've been keeping some pretty late evenings surfing around this wonderful Information Highway of ours. There's lots to see and some wonderful people to meet. So maybe, this year will not be so very different.!
I hope I can create some of the old time fun I used to have listening to the wonderful Irish melodies with friends. I have always loved Irish music. I found some really good sites on the web and have gathered up lots of music to share with you here and names of sites that you can visit yourselves.
I hope you will have fun visiting here. Write and tell me if there is anything else you would like to see here or if there is something that you may not like, or whatever.
My all time Irish favorite tunes are Black Velvet Band and the Wearing of the Green. What's yours? Do we have it here? Maybe we can find it for you?
