With the world changing day to day, Memorial and Tribute cards have been
added for 911, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq (Iraqi Freedom), the Space

our boys and girls, and much more. There are cards with yellow ribbons,
red, while and blue ribbons, black ribbons and more. It's a wonderful
way to remember and pay tribute.

The Wars
- U.S.
History This site is the most comprehensive that I have found
so far. Everything is indexed for easy access by century, then dates,
and subjects. (A job well done!)
- Maxie
the Magnificent History Fun Stuff ؏ While this site is for
kids, no adult should miss it. You will find historical clip art, games,
homework help, and so much more. (Another real find! I wish they
had this kind of help when I was growing up. I remember having to always
go to my neighbor's house to borrow the encyclopedia!)

How Others Remember
On my travels I had the honor to come across some really wonderful sites
that were dedicated in memory of those that are gone but not forgotten.
I would like to share some of these sites with you.
NOTE: Some of these sites are really heartbreaking to visit!
- Hunger
of the Heart: Communion at the Wall Photographs by Larry
Powell of the comings and goings at the Vietnam Memorial Wall. A
beautiful job! A must visit!

"Remembrance" is a collection of Galleries containing imagery,

War era. There is also a Glossary of terms and slang used
in this era and found in the writings throughout the Site. (This
is only a brief synopsis of the site, it's a really must see adventure!)

the U.S. Got Involved In Vietnam by Jeff Drake Through
intensive research and personal experience, Jeff writes an account of
the insanity experienced during the Vietnam War. He shares
the knowledge he found How the U.S. initially got involved in
Vietnam! with other veterans and the world! He hopes with
this account, people will begin to understand the incredible contradictions
they experienced.
- Gunner
Jim's Airborne Website Friendly, informative and easy to
navigate. Gunner Jim has created an extraordinary site and seems to
be an extraordinary person as well. (You should really make time
to visit this site!)
- The
Military Memoirs War memorials consecrate ideas, battlefields
consecrate events, but Military Memoirs consecrates the individuals
who served, and offers the real story from the everyday soldier. Each
week, Joe talks to Veterans from World War I, World War II, the Korean
War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, the Cold War, and the years in between.
They recount memories of their combat experience, discuss social aspects
of their service, and offer a military perspective on history, politics,
patriotism, and society’s perception of Veterans. (This is a thought
provoking site. You really must visit!)

(It is wonderful to see that these men are not forgotten!)
