appreciation to have such a place to visit from time to time. (A
true labor of love and talent!)
- USS
Liberty This web site is dedicated to the memory of thirty-four
fine young men who gave their lives on June 8, 1967, defending the USS
Liberty against a sustained air and sea attack by the armed forces of
the State of Israel. During the Six Day War between Israel and the Arab
States, the American intelligence ship USS Liberty was attacked for
75 minutes in international waters by Israeli aircraft and motor torpedo
boats. Thirty-four men died and 171 were wounded. (Visit this site
and read on... There is a multitude of related links for you to visit!
Well done!)

Memoir for Memorial Day Michael Seger shares with us... his
piece "A Memoir for Memorial Day" which he wrote as part of his series
of columns, Rovin'
& Ravin' for the first community freenet in Georgia, www.peanut.org.
This is an account of a trip Mike made with a friend of his to visit
the family of a man who died in his friend's arms in Vietnam over 30
years ago. (Thank you Mike for sharing this with us!)
